 The government needs to do all it can to encourage a nation-wide hydrogen refuelling network, offer tax incentives or rebates etc. Ian Purnell respectfully, electric cars are ready now for a good majority of people. Yes, they're not ideal for 250+ mile journeys without needing to stop for a coffee and a 30min fast charge, and there are difficulties for people living in flats/high-rise city buildings. But, for most semi-rural/rural homes where home charge points are a possibility for overnight charges they're absolutely fine, if not an improvement. Ryan Bissell I agree, when you have maybe 50+ families living in high rise blocks, where are they going to fit all those charging points? What happens on a freezing winter's night when a traffic accident causes a hold up on a motorway and people are stuck with lights and heaters on for hours, and batteries run flat? Sorry, not for me yet.

 Absolute rubbish. Let them go- to where? The market for such people is infintesimally small. Reduce the top earners by 20%. We the listening and watching bill payers would not notice the difference if 1 or 2 filled up the only available vacancies elsewhere. There’s so much dross on the BBC. The money they spend on American Football coverage is ridiculous, especially for such a niche audience in the middle of the night. Does Eastenders really need to be on 4 nights a week?(lighter work schedule for the cast and crew would mean more palatable salaries). Why does the BBC even bother with sport? It doesn’t do it well and Sky/BT Sports/advertisers would snap up most of the few events the BBC still has on its books. There’s so many easy wins it’s amazing that they’re ONLY saving this amount.  After 11years working 50h a week on my feet in the hospitality industry, (that everyone knows that is hard work and badly paid) I was able to get an office job. Still the company never considered work from home a possibility until the confinement. Now I've been working from home for over an year and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I am still very productive but instead of spending my breaks sitting in the break room scrolling on my phone, I can do some home stuff so when I finish work I'm never worried if "I have to do laundry" or whatever.. I don't have kids, which makes me love being at home without distractions nor social pressure to look good, be friendly, participate in activities that I really don't want to. Geoffrey Lages the pandemic has forced an opportunity that many companies wanted to trial ie majority of days working from home.
