However, these drivers work out of one hub and don’t have overnight stops or very long distance runs. Let's think Brexit has been on the cards for 3 years, their was a lorry driver shortage previous to this hence foreign drivers, the government would not help train drivers ,so the haulage industry used what was available, pandemic lock down didn't even last a year. Just rings of total government incompetence ,and if you want to train lorry drivers faster you will need more instructors, o and they will probably be lorry drivers themselves.
